We celebrated with Kristina + Charles on a beautiful October evening at one of our beloved downtown Raleigh wedding venues, The Stockroom at 230!

With perfect temps and gorgeous sunshine, you would have never known that there was an approaching hurricane coming our way and keeping us on our toes leading up to the weekend. We are thankful mother nature shared her sunnier side and gave us some amazing weather for this sweet couple, so we could celebrate in style! Weddings at the Stockroom at 230 are always special – this day was extra magical for so many reasons!

Planning with Kristina was a dream! She and her mom always came full of excitement to our planning meetings, and left with even more.

We always love when couples want to treat their guests to a fun experience, and Kristina & Charles wanted a night their guests wouldn’t soon forget! After a romantic chapel ceremony, guests took the quick trip through downtown Raleigh to The Stockroom at 230. Once arriving to the venue, guests enjoyed champagne, followed by a delicious station style dinner featuring some of the couples favorite foods. After dinner, it was time for an epic dance party to the sounds of Java Band. We sang out to Oh Pat & Livin’ on a Prayer before wishing the couple well under a shower of cheers + confetti!

Of all the beautiful details we carefully curated for this couple, nothing topped the sentimental traditions Kristina thoughtfully incorporated into her day at The Stockroom at 230.

We had hankies for happy tears, lovingly collected by family members; a creative crest, showcasing the grooms name “Bull”, dreamt up by our friends at Happy Tines and let’s not forget some of the best shortbread cookies you have ever had, served up after dinner fresh from Grandma’s kitchen.

While Kristina + Charles had so many moments that left us having all the feels, the sentiment of handing a simple red rose to one very sweet Grandma will be one moment that will stick with us forever.

Learning about heartfelt traditions that make our couples day extra magical are what make our job special. We LOVE our couples, their families, and experiencing the best day ever with them!
